When I’m in a hard season, it’s hard to imagine ever getting out of it. And more importantly is the wondering and hoping and wishing to feel like me again – and I’ve talked with so many of you that can relate!
This weeks episode is a very detailed look into how to get out of a hard season, what it’s looked like for me and my family this time around, and practical tips you can start applying today!
When you’re ready to get out of survival mode, the best place to start is with the Soul Pillar.
We are talking going back to the very basics of taking care of yourself: Are you showering every day? Getting dressed? Brushing your teeth? Moving your body? Eating enough food to sustain life?
And then the basics for your mind and heart: reading one scripture, writing down your big wins for the day and how you saw God helping you, noticing your thoughts, and deciding who you want to be and how you want to RESPOND to your circumstances, finding something to be excited about.
For me and so many mothers in our community that happens with the Thriving in Motherhood Journal.
The second phase of re-entry is the basics of the Structure Pillar. Decide on the ONE part of the house or system that makes the difference for you and for your husband and get into the habit again of taking care of those. For me it’s clean kitchen counters so I have space to cook and for my husband it’s a clear walkway to a place to sit.
Third is the basics of the Vision Pillar: what is in your vision for the year that you can move forward on? Family projects? Fun adventures? Business goals? Bring them back into your weekly big 3.
I have so much more advice and examples to share about re-entry in this weeks podcast episode (and if you don’t know what re-entry is, I explain that too!)

Thriving in Motherhood Podcast Community on Patreon
Patreon is the place where we can come together as mothers and intentionally cultivate growth together. Each month you can gain access to printable worksheets that go along with topics in the podcast to help us slow down and make lasting change – not just be inspired for a few days and then move on. These worksheets are what I’m personally working on and talking about with my closest friends – and I want YOU to join us!
Cultivate your growth intentionally with us through two worksheets a month, a online community, and a monthly group video call to share our “big wins” and things we are still working on.
